Gregory Arthur MacMullin, resident of Braemar at Wallkill, Middletown, New York, died on August 3, 2023. He was 65.
The son of the late William Henry MacMullin and Constance Elizabeth (Glover) MacMullin, he was born in Canastota, New York on March 4, 1958. Greg started as a teenager working with harness horses in various positions including farmhand and foreman on Blue Chip Farm, Wallkill, NY. He later worked security at various locations including Park Manor Rehab & Health Care (now Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare), Middletown, NY. Greg was also a Lieutenant with Shawangunk Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Wallkill, NY for many years. A huge New York Mets fan and supporter of the New York Giants, Greg was known for his sense of humor. Although he never had children of his own, he had great love for his nieces Kayla (Connor and Willow), Ash (Lily and Gio), nephew Skyler, and great niece Kaiden whom he helped raise while living with his sister Mary and brother-in-law Jamie MacVean for over 20 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, William “Henry” MacMullin and Constance “Connie” Elizabeth (Glover) MacMullin, as well as his sister, Teresa “Terri” Margaret (MacMullin) Geisler. He is survived by siblings, Norman Eaton, Michael MacMullin (Melisa), Christopher MacMullin (Irene), Henry MacMullin (Kelly), and Mary MacVean (Jamie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A Memorial Service for friends and family will be at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940 from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, August 25, 2023.
