Gregory Alexander Speirs of Middletown, NY, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 12, 2024.
He was born in Syracuse New York on June 2, 1951 to his parents, Allan Barclay Speirs and Vara Alma Lynch Speirs.
Gregory leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Edith Estrella Speirs.
He was a wonderful and loving husband, brother, father, uncle and grandpa.
He worked hard his whole life. Gregory was a gentle and quiet giant who was generous, and he loved big. He would give you the shirt off his back, no questions asked. We will miss him terribly.
In addition to his loving wife Edith, Gregory was survived by his children; Debbie Phillips’ Yvette Valentin and her husband, John Wolven, George Valentin and his wife De Ann.
Grandchildren; William Speirs, Daniel Phillips, Ryan Phillips, Troy, Kendyle, Natalie, and Sabrina Wolven, KellyRay, Anthony, Olivia and David Valentin.
Great Grandchildren; DJ Phillips, Wynter Wolven, Troy, Maia and Miles Schluter and James.
Gregory also was survived by his nieces and nephews; Allana, Tricia, Alecia, Jonathon and Chris, his brother, Rick Speirs and his wife Mary.
Gregory was predeceased by his son, Allan James Speirs, his brother, Art Speirs and his sister, Sharon Tyrrell.
Please join us for a funeral service at Scotchtown Presbyterian Church, 367 Blumel Rd., Middletown, NY on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 10:00AM. Pastor Todd Young presiding. Interment of cremains will follow the funeral service at Scotchtown Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
