Grace Anne (Nancy) Olah passed away on July 18, 2014 after a long illness, at Dewitt Rehab Center in New York City. She was born in New York, NY on October 17, 1934 to Joseph and Kathleen (Higgins) Monahan.
She was a wonderful mother, who had a mind of her own, was proud of her Irish heritage, and relished family functions.
Grace is survived by her husband of 59 years, Steve; daughter, Deanna; son, Steven and his wife, Claire; daughter, Joanne Kuchta and her husband, John; and son, Joseph and his wife, Agnes. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Lisa, Christie, Michael, Patrick, John Jr., and Melissa; one sister, Kathleen Pertgen of Newton, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by brothers: Robert, Joseph, James and Raymond and sisters, Marion and Margaret. .
For all the many relatives and friends in the City, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Home, 352 East 87th Street, New York, NY. Another visitation will be held locally on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Paul R.C. Church, 2800 Route 17K, Bullville, NY, on Wednesday, July 23rd at 11 a.m. with Fr. Sean Harlow, O. Carm officiating. Burial will take place in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
