Gloria Lydia Colón, 62, passed away on September 10th, 2021, at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, NY,
She was born in July of 1959 to Daniel Sr. and Maria Colón in New York, NY and resided in Phoenicia, NY at the time of her death.
Gloria loved life and laughed with the best of them. She spent much of her time learning, listening, and hoping for peace and love on Earth. She was a supporter of knowledge through reading and literacy, spiritual practice, and being a shining beacon of light and acceptance. She touched many lives, bringing joy and understanding to them; she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Gloria was survived by her son, David; granddaughter Ava, grandson Niall; brothers and sisters-in-law; Jose and Nigza Colón, Daniel Jr. and Jean Colón, Luis and Gladys Colón, and Ivan and Alicia Rosado; their children, Jackie, Nichol, Angelica, Jonathan, Natasha, Samantha, Julia, Krystal, Daniel John, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Gabriel, and her great-niece Jasmine.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 16th, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions or other donations may be made to the Phoenicia Library, Phoenicia, NY (phoenicialibrary.org)
