German M. Florez, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly, at the age of 40, on Friday, February 15, 2013 in Port Jervis.
German was born on November 29, 1972 in Ellenville, NY, the son of Gonzalo and Amparo Florez. He grew up in Ellenville and was a 1990 graduate of Ellenville High School. After graduation, he became a successful sales and leasing consultant.Â
He was a proud and loving father to his four children: Taylor, Jace and Teagan Florez and Joseph Friend. Â
German is survived by his longtime significant other, Susan Papay, by his mother, Amparo, brothers Rolando and Gregory, and sisters Martha Katalina, Monica, and Stephanie and several nieces and nephews.  His warmth and love will be sorely missed. Â
