Obituary for Gerard A. Faleni
Gerard “Jerry” A. Faleni, a Middletown resident, died unexpectedly at his home on July 15, 2020. He was 60 years old.
Born in Newburgh, New York, on March 28, 1960, to Mary Louise and Benedict J. Faleni. Jerry was the youngest child following his six beloved sisters. He attended grade school at St. Joseph’s Catholic school in New WIndsor, NY, and high school in the Newburgh School District, but left early to begin his first job at the Crowley Foods Dairy company with his father. Soon after, Jerry was an employee for Advanced Oxy-Med Services Inc. for 23 years, where he tirelessly worked to deliver and set up medical equipment for his clients in the tristate area.
Jerry was a selfless and strong-willed man who gave the entirety of himself in all that he did. Sharing any hardship of yours with Jerry led to him determinedly scouring all resources to find a solution. Jerry’s fondest moments were spent with his family, travelling hours by car to visit sisters, nieces and nephews down south and enjoying Virginia Beach. He was an avid Yankee fan who tuned in to every game
Jerry is survived by his children Giovanni Faleni, Sheyene Faleni and Simone Francis, the mother of his children Karlene Francis, his sisters, Mary Pasquale, Alice Abrams, Maggie Laramay, Barbara Ischler, Patricia Bradley and Anita Howington, along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and two adoring dogs and a host of lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Ben Faleni.
Visitation and webcast services will be held on July 23, 2020, from 4 pm-7 pm at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A service led by Father Dennis from St. Joseph’s of Middletown will begin at 6:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his surviving family to help ease their financial burden during his loss.
