Geraldine C. McQuillan, an eight year resident of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 after a sudden illness. She was 83.
She was born on April 13, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes Peneski.
She married Arthur McQuillan in Trenton, NJ on June 15, 1947 and they spent 64 glorious years together. To her family she was known to be so spiritual and generous and loving as a wife, mother and grandmother. Geraldine was a devoted parishioner of St. Paul’s Church in Bullville, NY.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur, her loving daughter, Kathleen Denman and her husband Kenneth of Slate Hill, NY, her sister, Dorothea Stevens of Pembroke Pines, Fl, her brother, Edward Peneski of Pace, Fl and her “shining joy” grandsons, Travis Denman of Middletown, NY and Stephen Denman of Alfred, NY.
Friends may call at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, December 30, 2011.
The funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family plot at Clove Cemetery in Sussex, NJ Funeral
