Gemma Mazzella, a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick, died unexpectedly on Sunday May 22, 2011 at her home in Goshen, NY. She was 60.
The daughter of the late Sylvio and Frances Baker Mezzone she was born on June 9, 1950 in White Plains, NY. Gemma loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling, especially to the beach.
She is survived by her children: Rachael Mazzella and her fiancé, Doug Tucek of Summerville, SC, Nancy Mazzella of Greenville and Matthew Mazzella and his wife, Michelle of Goshen and her beloved grandchildren, Brendan and Nathan.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown. A Celebration of Gemma's life will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home.
