FREDERICK C. BUCHTA April 15, 1922 - October 27, 2011 Middletown, NY Frederick C. Buchta, a longtime resident of Middletown, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 89 years old. He was born in Grantwood, NJ on April 15, 1922 to the late John and Wilhemia Eberhardt Buchta.
A devoted family man, he loved his music, gathering with his grandchildren and reading the Good Book.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Pamela Memmelaar and her husband, Mike of Bullville, and Deborah Burgmeier and her husband, Mike of Manlius, NY; sisters, Marian Hyder of Hayesville, NC, Marie Crook of Atlanta; nine grandchildren: Misty, Amy, Corally, Timothy, Silvee, Tyler, Marissa, Barbara and Mike, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 28, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Bullville Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, with the burial following with Military Honors in the Bullville Cemetery.
