Fred C. Greene, Jr.
Fred C. Greene, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 93 years of age at Middletown Park Manor.
The son of Fred C. and Florence Howell Greene, he was born on February 3, 1929 in Warwick, NY. He married Catherine DeStefano and they lived most of their lives in Oxford Depot in the town of Blooming Grove. Fred proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He then worked for decades at PFW/Hercules in Middletown, NY. After retiring Fred and Catherine frequently traveled the country in their RV. He was a kind, loving husband, father, and grandfather that will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Catherine at Park Manor, son Ronald Greene and life partner Laura Fratto of Middletown NY, and daughter Sharon Noonan and husband Ryne of Montgomery, NY. Fred is also survived by three grandsons: Jeffrey Greene, Colin Noonan, and Conor Noonan.
He was predeceased by his father Fred C. Green, mother Florence, and sister Dorothy Helt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, MIddletown, NY 10940. Burial with Military honors will take place at 1 pm on Friday at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
