Obituary for Frank Carrello
Frank Carrello, a lifetime resident of Middletown, died after a long illness at Campbell Hall Nursing Facility on December 12, 2021. He was 73.
The son of John and Catherine Kolawski Carrello, he was born in Middletown on January 15th, 1948. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1966. He was a gifted pianist and was employed by a Piano and Organ Sales Shop in Middletown, and brought his musical talents and knowledge to families around the county and beyond, as a keyboard instructor, and sales representative for many years.
Frank will be remembered by many Middletowners for his many performances at various events – including the Orange Co. Fair, Orange Plaza Mall, many church and governmental or municipal events. He mastered the keyboard and could bring any gathering to their feet to dance or just applaud his wonderful music! He was also an avid race fan, a big contributor to the Hard Clay magazine, and a regular at Orange County Speedway.
Frank is survived by his two sons, Michael Carrello of Milton, GA, and John Carrello of Shohola, PA, and their families.
Visitation will be held at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., on Wednesday December 15, 2021 from 1-2 pm. As per Frank’s wishes, cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are made under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. www.applebee-mcphillips.com.
