Frances Campos Hernandez of Montgomery, New York passed away in her home with her family at her bedside. She died from complications of a 6-year battle with breast cancer. She was 63 years young.
Frances has been married to Hector Luis Hernandez Sr for 47 years. She was the daughter of the late Rafael and Andrea Campos. Frances leaves behind her 3 children: Hector Jr., Melissa and Christopher and their spouses Winnie, Charles and Jennifer. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and her siblings: Miriam, Ralph, Josie, Millie and Ines.
Frances worked as a manager at Mediacom in Monroe, NY. She was well known for her generosity, religious spirit and devotion to family and friends. To sum up how Frances lived her life: some people come into our lives and leave footprints in our hearts; Frances was that person. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to all who have helped her along her journey. Frances touched so many lives and her family always came first.
Visitation will take place at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue in Middletown, NY on Wednesday, February 21st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Bullville, NY at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 22nd, with the burial to follow at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
A reception will be held immediately following the burial to celebrate her life and birthday. The family requests that those attending the funeral/reception not wear all black, as this is a celebration of Frances’ life.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer Research.
