On January 6th, 2024, Fotis Manouvelos passed away unexpectedly in Chester County, South Carolina at age 55.
A beacon of joy and kindness, Fotis leaves behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
Fotis was survived by his older brother Peter Manouvelos, his younger brother, Spyros Manouvelos his wife Carolyn, and his niece Anastasia Manouvelos.
Born on May 18th, 1968, in Athens, Greece, Fotis embarked on a remarkable journey when his family immigrated to America when he was just two years old. Settling in Middletown, NY, in 1976, Fotis enjoyed a loving childhood that laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
Achieving academic excellence, Fotis earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from SUNY New Paltz, eventually rising to the position of Senior Vice President in the banking industry.
Fotis was more than a professional success; he was a larger-than-life personality, capable of lighting up any room.
His infectious laughter, comforting presence, and kind heart endeared him to everyone he encountered.
His departure leaves a void that will be keenly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His passions were as diverse as his personality, ranging from motorcycles to fervent support for the Chicago Bears,
Nebraska football, and the NY Yankees. However, his deepest love was reserved for his friends and family.
A visitation to celebrate Fotis's life will take place on January 18th, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at
the Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on January 19th at 9:30
