Obituary for Fernando A. Rivera
Fernando A. Rivera, a 2005 graduate of Ellenville Highschool, died as a result of an auto accident, on Saturday, May 13, 2006 in Summitville. He was 19 years old.
He was born on Christmas Eve in 1986 to Tammy Kahrs and Fernando Rivera in Sante Fe, New Mexico. While his life was short, he filled it with a wonderful sense of humor. He became the guy everyone liked to be around because he was always happy and smiling. Freddie was active in many after school sports; the drama club and studio productions.
Fernando “Freddie” is survived by his loving family at home. His mom, Tammy and stepdad, Bill Sherman; his siblings, Tony, Nicky, Stefanee, and Victoria; his maternal grandmother, Patrica Brown of Sparrowbush; paternal grandparents, Julie and Roger Sherman of Wurtsboro,his paternal grandparents, Oceila and Daniel Reiter of Bloomingburg also survived as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Melvin Kahrs and his uncle Melvin.
This “woodstock child” leaves behind a legacy of love to them and his many many friends.
Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Tuesday, May 16th at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A funeral service of remembrance will be celebrated on Wed May 17th at 11am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
