Obituary for Felix O Santiago
Felix Santiago Obituary
Felix Santiago, a long-time resident of Middletown, New York, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on June 7, 2018. He was 80 years old.
Felix was born to Epifanio Ortiz and Agueda Santiago in Humacao, Puerto Rico, on May 27, 1938. He moved to New York in his early 20s, got married and raised 3 beautiful children.
Felix was a dedicated husband and father, a wonderful brother, a loyal friend and a dependable and diligent worker. All his working years, Felix was employed at Del Ford Rubber Factory. He was content living a quiet life, focused on loving and supporting his family. It brought him great joy to see his children and grandchildren happy; he loved to help them, bless them and celebrate special occasions with them. Simply put, if you knew Felix, you were his family – and he loved his family with every fiber of his being.
Felix is pre-deceased by his parents, and survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen (nee Bull), two daughters, Virginia Carrillo (and her husband, Brian) of Middletown, New York and Felicia Santiago of Tampa, Florida, a son, Ricardo Santiago (Middletown, New York), 1 granddaughter, Sage Carrillo and 3 grandsons, Ravon Carrillo, Stephen and Joshua Santiago (in Alabama), brothers, Santos and Daniel Ortiz, nephews, Danny Ortiz and Juan Ayala and a niece, Alex Genetti.
A Celebration of Felix’s life will be held at 11am, on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Family Church, 510 M & M Road, Middletown, NY 10940.
