Obituary for Febo Basil "Buddy" Paccinini
Febo Basil “Buddy” Piccinini, a 40 year resident of the area, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus. He was 74 years old. The son of the late Febo and Anne Vervan Piccinini, he was born February, 23, 1932 in Dunmore, PA. Buddy retired from the Middletown State Hospital as  an Alcohol Rehabilitation Counselor in Tuckerman Hall. A veteran of Korean War Era,  Febo proudly served his country in The United States Marine Corp in the Second Division8th Motor Transport Battalion. A family statement reads, “Buddy enjoyed sharing time with his family at gatherings and trips to Disney.  He loved to travel, and enjoyed the Christmas season.  Buddy was a craftsman and a great cook who was known for his homemade sausage and peanut brittle.  He kept our family very  close.  His cherished memory will always live in the hearts of his loving family.”He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Puleo Piccinini at home; one son Glenn Piccinini and his wife, Lisa of Gilbert, AZ; three daughters, Kathleen Selear and her husband, Timothy of Pine Bush, Jana Seeley and her husband, David of Otisville, and Lisa Smith and her husband, Mark of Poughkeepsie; fifteen grandchildren, Rebecca, Jeffrey, and Sean Selear, Danielle, Gabrielle, Stephan, Joshua and Isabella Piccinini, Adam, Andrew, Amanda, Amber, and Aron Seeley, Cameron and Zachary Smith; one sister Mary Jane Leho of Yonkers as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jean Kowatch and Delores Eichler. Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday, July 22nd and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Sunday July 23rd at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A funeral service of remembrance will be celebrated on Monday July 24th at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial with full  military honors will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial Donations in Febo ‘s name may be made to The American Cancer Society, 419 East Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
