Estelle "Terri" Borden, a 45 year resident of Middletown, died following a challenging battle with cancer at her daughter's home in Albuquerque, NM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was 90.
The daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude Rosen Warren, Terri was born on October 27, 1930 in New York City. Terri married Seymour Borden on April 19, 1952 and they shared 64 years together until his death in 2016. Terri and Seymour were the owners of Carpet Mill Outlet in New Windsor, NY. Terri was known for her style and strength. She was not afraid of hard work and was willing to share her gifts with anyone in need. During the Vietnam War, she led a class in bandage rolling to help in the military pursuit. She was a life member of the Hadassah and a Pink Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Terri is survived by her son, Kenneth and his wife Lucille, Fern DuJardin of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Zachary Borden; nephews, Richard Raciti and Mark Raciti, niece, Debbie Danzo and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Terri is predeceased by her husband Seymour Borden, who passed in 2016, and sister Marcia Raciti who passed in 2020.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11 am in the family plot in New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon, NY. Rabbi Ackerman officiated the services.
