Obituary for Erna V. Clarke
Erna V. Clarke, a 12 year Middletown resident died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus. She was 70 years old. The daughter of the late Angela Lilleywhite, Erna was born on July 1, 1935 in Tanzania, East Africa. A homemaker, Erna, known as “Grandma Ronnie” to everyone, moved to Middletown in 1994 from Milford, CT. She was a great fan of Gilbert and Sullivan and loved kids, and kids loved her.
Ronnie is survived by one son, Neil Clarke and his wife Cynthia of Singapore; one daughter, Susan Pavlick and her husband Allan of Middletown and six grandchildren, Karen, Michelle, Ashley, Wendy, Serena and Melanie.
A Service of Remembrance in Ronnie’s name will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, 7pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
