Obituary for Emily Comiskey
Emily Comiskey, a longtime area resident died Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Park Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was 90 years old. The daughter of the late Michael and Frances Sudac Sankovich, she was born April 16, 1916 in Cairnbrook, Pa. Emily was an active member of The Middletown Golden Age Seniors, serving as an assistant treasurer, as well as participating  in the Arts and Crafts. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters #681, and was a parishoner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Middletown. Emily is survived by her stepdaughter Florence; sisters Anna and Helen; her brothers Robert, Frank, and John; and several nieces and nephews; as well as her many friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Andrew Mahalko and her second husband JohnComiskey, her brother Joseph, and her sister, Mary Hutsko. Visitation will be held at Mulcahy Funeral Home in Central City, PA on Monday, June 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Central City, PA. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Middletown.
