Elizabeth Puccio, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 68.
The daughter of the late Hugh and Janet Hamilton Withers, she was born on November 10, 1948 in New York City. Beth married Nick Puccio on December 23, 1967 in New York City. Nick and Beth moved their family to New Hampton from Astoria in May of 1976. She worked as an L.P.N. for Horton Memorial Hospital.
Beth was strong and selfless throughout her life. She was gracious and focused. Everything she did, including her career, she did for her family. She was very involved with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Beth was a fun-loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband and best friend, Nick at home, she is survived by her daughters, Janet Burkert and her husband, Jim of Smithtown, L.I. and Joanna Romaine and her partner, Frank Sorino of New Hampton, her treasured grandchildren, Kevin, Andrew and Mia; one brother Hugh Withers and his wife, Lillian of Staten Island.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday evening.
Cremation will be private at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
