Obituary for Elizabeth "Lou" Lucille Becker
Elizabeth “Lou” Lucille Becker, a wife and mother of four, died in the early morning hours on Monday, June 5, 2005 at her home, surrounded by her family . She was 47 years old.

The daughter of Nicholas and the late Elizabeth Romeo Samartino, she was born January 27, 1959 in Nanuet, NY.

A family statement reads, “Being a Mom was her priority, she always put her children first. She lived for her family, she was unselfish and not materialistic. She was gifted with artistic talent and was detail oriented. Lou loved to paint all sorts of flowers and other still lives and created many beautiful things.”

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel J. Becker at home; four beloved children, Matthew, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Tyler; three sisters, Rosemary Hekl and her husband Thomas, of Grand Rapids, MI, Christine Curnan and her husband, William of Yardley, PA, and Janet Plummer and her husband, Mark of Dexter, MI as well as several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth and her brother, Frank.        

Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, June 7th at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 8th at 10 am in Holy Cross R.C. Church, South Centerville Road, South Centerville, NY. Burial will follow in the family plot on Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgebury, NY.
