Eleanor Sauer formally of New Milford, NJ died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center.
She was 86 years old.
She was born on April 20, 1925 in NYC to the late Seigfried and Jennie Weikert Feitler.
Eleanor met and married the love of her life, Gunther "Charlie" Sauer and they were married in the Bronx in April 1946 and together they spent 65 wonderful years together raising their family.
Eleanor was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the past Vice President of the Alter Rosary Society of Ascention R. C, Church. She was compassionated and spiritual and loved being with her family. She was someone who could be counted on whenever help was needed.
Ellie is survived by her loving husband Charlie, at home, daughter April Haas and her husband William of Middletown, sister Marjorie Von Weiser of Laguna Woods, CA two grandchildren Lacey and Mark; two great grandchildren Michaela and Maddox. She was predeceased by her son Clark in 1950.
Visitation is Thursday, September 1, 3-7 PM at the Bouvelard Funeral Home 1155 River Rd. New Milford, NJ 07646 A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am in Ascention R. C, Church in Hackensack, NJ Burial to follow in Hackensack Cemetery.
