Obituary for Eileen M. Garvelli
Eileen M. Garvelli, a beloved wife, mother and grandmom, died after a lengthy illness at Kaplan House in Newburgh on March 17, 2022. She was 79.
The only child of Walter and Loretta Martin Lang, she was born on January 25, 1943 in N.Y.C.
Eileen married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, John V. Garvelli on September 15, 1964 in the Bronx. Their romance lasted for over 58 years and their dedication and devotion to each other has been admired by all who knew and love them.
She was a mom and grandmother who cherished her family. For them, she was fun to be around . her personality was bubbly and contagious and cats were always adopted and welcome to join the family.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband and best friend, John , at home, her three children; John Jr. of Middletown, Kevin Garvelli of Tuckahoe. N.Y. and Christine Hayden and her significant other, Michael Sauchuk of Scotchtown, N.Y. as well as two very special and adored grandchildren, Danielle and Lauren Hayden.
Visitation and Entombment will be private and done at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, 800 Stonybrook Rd. Newburgh, N.Y. 10960
