Eileen C. Bagge died peacefully surrounded by family at Albany Medical center. She was 90 years old.
Born in Weehawken NJ on February 15, 1934 to Jane and Arthur Casey Eileen grew up in the Bronx, NY.
She was married to George A. Bagge for 63 years before his passing in 2016. As a stay at home mom she
raised 4 children. George (Linzee), Joan Beck (Keith), James (Gwen) and Ellen. She had 10 grandchildren.
Rachel, Cathlin, Lynn, Peter, Christopher, Jennifer, Sarah, John, Mya and Joey, 17 great grandchildren
and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She attended SUNY Orange obtaining a nursing degree and worked at Horton Hospital for several years.
Later, she worked for the Middletown School District until 1986. She then obtained a Master’s Degree in
Psychology and worked as a School Psychologist until her retirement in 2000.
Eileen’s religion and community involvement were very important to her. She taught CCD, was a Den
Mother for Cub Scouts, Girl Scout leader, and CYO leader. She served on the Church Parish council as
well as served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was involved in bereavement groups, she was involved in
Literacy Volunteers, Court Rosemary 681 Catholic Daughters of America, and the Thrall Library Board.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Funeral services will be at St. Joseph’s
Church on November 21 at 11 am internment following.
