Obituary for Edwin T. Remey

Edwin T. Remey

July 19, 1955 - September 14, 2023

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4). The good Lord called Ed home on September 14, 2023 while surrounded by his loved ones.

He was pre-deceased by his Parents: Francis & Doris Remey, Niece: Sandra Maggio, In-Laws: Winnie & Gil Nelson, & beloved Brother-in-Law: Bob Nola.

He is survived by his endearing wife, Alicia and proud son Brandon of Slate Hill NY, Sister: Jean Paige of Westbrookville, NY, Brother & Wife: Kenneth & Joan Remey of Kentucky, Sister-in-Law: Debbie Nola, Sister(s) & Brother(s)-in-Laws: Katie & Art Ramos, Karen & Doug Loos, Barbara & Tom McCreery, Art & Jodi Nelson, Nieces & Nephews: Jessica “Phoenix” Ramos (Jóhannes), Allison Ramos, Amanda Bell (Steven), Doug Loos Jr. (Katie), Thomas Nola, Samantha Gale (Matt), Kyle McCreery (Mackenzie), Emily McCreery, Heather Moliterno (RJ) & Mitchell Nelson (Adrianna), Brenda Quinn (Bruce), Autumn Paige, Karen Messer, Extended Family: Andrew Smith (Clarissa), & Tracilyn Smith and countless number of other cousins, friends, brother & sisters through Christ our savior.

Ed’s biggest move in life was from Horton Hospital to his home of residency. He was a 7th Generation dairy farmer until 1994. He then went on to pursue his dream job of driving tractor-trailer. Then, in 2003 he started his career with the Town of Wawayanda Highway Dep’t. He worked there ever since.

Those who knew him knew what a godly man he was or at least strived to be. He lived his life as a good and faithful servant of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. He had a heart of absolute gold and a voice that would calm a storm. To know Ed Remey was to know the meaning of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

His time on this physical earth may be done but the seeds he’s planted have yet to grow.
