Edwin Daniel Garcia, Jr. of Middletown, died unexpectedly on February 13 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 24.
The son of Shelia Nelson Garcia and Edwin D. Garcia, Sr., he was born on February 9, 1982 in N.Y.C..
Formerly of Manhattan, Edwin moved to the Middletown area with his family in 1997. He was a member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Middletown.
He is survived by his loving parents at home, and three sisters, Sherese Jervis of the Bronx; and Keisha and Teresa Garcia both home.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Middletown, NY. Friends are invited to call on Friday, February 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY. Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm . A funeral mass will be held Saturday afternoon February 18 at 11:00 AM in the St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 149 Cottage Street, NY. Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family, burial of cremains in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edwin´s name may be made to his family, Shelia and Edwin Garcia, Sr., 4 Placid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10941.
