Obituary for Edward Phillips
Edward J. Phillips, A longtime area resident, died following a short illness on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Garnet Health Center in Middletown. He was 69.
The son of the late Edward and Beatrice G., Lipaty Phillips, he was born on April 13, 1952 in the Bronx. He married Ana Dasilva, who he adored. He was a good and kind husband and dedicated father, grandfather. Eddie was a member of Family Church and rode with the Rainriders, the Family Church motorcycle club. He was a great organizer and a good friend to many.
In addition to his wife Ana, he is survived by his son, Edward and his wife Danielle of Florida and daughter Christina Phillips and his stepchildren, John and Kimberly Allessio; one brother Robert Phillips and his wife Jayne of Greenwood Lake, sisters, Lynn Marshall of South Carolina and Gail Phillips of Florida. He also leaves his grandchildren, Kayleigh and Griffin Phillips and Gwen Rhatigan , Julie and Jasmine Alessio.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the funeral home, a Funeral Service will be held at 4 pm with Rev. Richard Carasquillo will officiate, Cremation will be private.
