Edith W. Singletary a retired L.P.N., died on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Elant in Goshen. She was 88.
The daughter of the late Benjamin and Sara Tucker Williams, Edith was born on July 2, 1924 in Brooklyn. Edith was the wife of Jacob Singletary who predeceased her on October 3, 2008. She was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Middletown.
Edith is survived by her daughters, Marcia LittleJohn and her husband Ronald of the Bronx and Jacqueline Newman and her husband Dwayne; a sister, Vivienne G. Williams of Waterbury, CT. Grandchildren, Nakia Wade and her husband Stephen, Kisha McNeal and her husband Wayne, as wellas six great- grandchildren.
Visitation hours are from 9:30 am to 12 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service in Remembrance will be held at the funeral home at 12 noon on Thursday. Burial will follow in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery in Middletown.
