Obituary for Ed Bennett
Ed Lowell Bennett, age 67, a short-time resident of Middletown, entered into eternal rest June 6, 2019. Although he suffered from several chronic medical conditions, his passing came most unexpectedly.
Born in Tokyo, Japan, and raised primarily in Florida, he subsequently resided in Washington, DC, and was an alumnus of Georgetown University. Ed eventually moved to Brooklyn, NY, and began a career in the airline industry. He retired in 2016, after nearly 20 years with British Airways before moving to Middletown with his partner. He was pre-deceased by his parents, and is survived by his partner of 38 years, one brother in Florida, and a nephew and niece.
Ed was a loving and caring person, and his passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of those who loved him. Final arrangements were private, but memorial contributions in Ed’s name may be made, in support of the native Christians of the Middle East, to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (www.CNEWA.org).
