Dorothy Pistone, a retired marketing representative for Sam's Club, died on Novmeber 16, 2010 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus in Middletown, following a short illness. She was 63.
The daughter of the late Charles and Gloria Perez Bandelt, she was born on August 16, 1947 in Brooklyn. Dorothy moved to the Middletown area in 1977 from Brooklyn. She was a longtime member of St. Jospeh's Roman Catholic Church in Middletown and the founder of the Separated and Divorced Roman Catholics Support Club.
Dorothy will be remembered as a thoughtful and giving person who was always there to offer her help to others. She was a wonderful, inspiring loving mother, sister and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Pistone of South Portland, ME and Christina Carman of Port Jervis; brothers, James Bandelt and his fiancé JoAnn McCall and his ex-wife Cathy of Middletown, Charles and his wife Peachie of Brooklyn, Thomas and his wife Diane of Bagota, NJ, Michael of Milford, PA and John of Portland, OR; and her sister, Barbara Bandelt of Lake Ariel, PA; and her two grandchildren, James and Allison Carman of Port Jervis and several nieces and nephews..
Visitation hours are from 7 to 9 pm tonite, Thursday, Novmember 18, 2010 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, Novmeber 19, 2010, burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
