Doreen entered into rest, peacefully surrounded by family on December 29th, 2017 at Kaplan Hospice. She was the beloved wife of Kurt Winner.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Kurt Winner; mother, Rose Marie Tawfik; step-father, Mo Tawfik; father, Christy Raffa; brothers, Christy Raffa Jr., and Lance Raffa.; brother-in-law, Edward Winner; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Raffa, Amy Raffa, and Jennifer Winner; nieces: Alyssa, Ashley, Taylor, and Kacie; nephews: Justin, Christian, Kyle, and Kurt; also many aunts and uncles.
Doreen was the strongest, bravest, soul and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a great sense of humor and loved to listen to her husbands' music. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her Honey, Kurt. Doreen was a Senior Teller at M&T Bank For ten years, and an Assistant Manager at Kay Jewelers. She will be deeply missed . . .
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Life will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home Thursday evening. Cremation will be private.
