Diane M. Greenberg, a longtime area resident, died on April 27, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 65.
The daughter of the late Albert and Eileen Schwartz Greenberg, she was born on April 29, 1952 in New York City. Diane moved to the Middletown area in her early 20s. She became an integral part of her community at ARC and liked being around people. She was soft spoken most of the time, but was very verbal and outgoing. She had a great memory and a good sense of humor. She loved everything about children and was extremely kind to others. Diane enjoyed 50s music and musicals, some of her favorites were the Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof and Grease. She had a sweet disposition and continually asked those around her, “Did I tell you that I love you?”
She was attending Day at A Time in Warwick where she made lots of wonderful friends and the great she was given care by all the drivers at Gateway.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Greenberg, many cousins and her extended family at Crystal Run Village, especially the Perricelli house.
Visitation for Diane will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 30 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Cremation will be private.
Donations in Diane’s name may be made to the Perricelli House, 1854 Goshen Turnpike, Middletown, NY 10941.
