Diane J. Sieglitz, a teacher's assistant for Pine Bush Schools, died on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 62.
The daughter of the Jean Gobel Sysak and the late Casimir Sysak, she was born on March 21, 1950 in the Bronx. Diane had the kindest heart and would do anything for anyone. She was selfless. She loved her dog, Gia, but her grandchildren were her life. She also liked bowling.
Diane is survived by her son, Chris of Mahopac and daughter, Megan and her husband Luis Pagan of New Windsor; two sisters, Janet and her husband Michael of Poughkeepsie and Susan and her husband Michael of Texas. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Luis, Alani and Thomas.
Diane was predeceased by her son, Thomas H. Briggs in November of 2011.
Visitation hours will be from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 391 Mt. Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in Manning Cemetery, Mountain Road, Greenville, NY.
