Dennis Faro, beloved husband, father and Papa, died on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Middletown Park Manor. He was 66.
The son of the late Alfred and Josephine Infantino Faro, he was born on May 22, 1950 in Jersey City, NJ. Dennis married Sandra Criscione on November 27, 1971 in New Jersey. He worked for many years at numerous medical centers as a nuclear medicine technologist, most recently at Bon Secours in Port Jervis, NY. Dennis had a talent for making others feel at ease, whether at work, home or play. He had a creative nature which was expressed in numerous ways. He loved gardening, landscaping, decorating and making people laugh.
Dennis will be remembered for his love of music, he enjoyed both dancing and singing. He believed in his Italian traditions and liked passing them down to his family. His family was the central focus of his entire life and Dennis would do anything for them.
In addition to the love of his life, Sandy at home; he is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Cione and her husband, Jamie of Walden, and Jennifer Kovas-Ruggiero and her husband, Alfonso of Goshen. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Alexander, and Luke Cione and Marcello, Rosalia, Anthony and Nicolina Ruggiero and the devoted members of our family and cherished friends .
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Alfred Faro; his mother and father-in-law, Salvatore and Nicolina Criscione; sister, Joann Girardin; and nephew, Joseph Fackelman.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, NY 10940. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Peace mausoleum in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
