Obituary for Demetrios Jimmy Karayianis
Demetrios “ Jimmy” Karayianis of Middletown died at the Middletown Park Manor on June 14, 2013,
surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years old. He was born on April 24, 1948 in the Bronx to the late Konstantinos
and Maria Rothbarto Karayianis. Jimmy worked for Robins Taxi Co. in Middletown for 25 years as a driver, then as a dispacher. He always enjoyed helping people. Jimmy will be remembered by his family as a simple and easy going man. He was a great fan of the Yankees and of the Beatles music. Jimmy was a hardworking fayher who devoted his life to his family especially his two children. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his lifetime companion Patricia Fuhst; son Konstantinos and his wife Leone Pizarro of VA, ; daughter Theresa of Middletown; brother-in-law Frank Bruno of FL.; four nieces Stacy, Maria, Jody and Christina . He was predeased by his sisters Anna Columbo and Diane Bruno.
A funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, June 18, at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church,Goshen Turnpike, Middletown with Fr. Chris Talleous officiating. Interment will be private at Bloomingburg Arrangements under the direction Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
