Obituary for Debra S. DelNegro
On what started to be an ordinary weekday, on Wednesday, May 5, our lives were forever changed by the sudden and unexpected death of our mother, Debra S. DelNegro after succumbing to the physical toll of Lung Cancer.

The daughter of Arthur Fricke and Ruth Pfaff-Fricke, she was born in Teaneck N.J. on October 5, 1956. After her mom’s early death, her dad remarried, Joan (Smith) Fricke who gave Debra much love and encouragement and more siblings. She grew up with six other kids and shared a wonderful childhood together.

Debra was a self-starter, as well as independent and hard-working. She was someone you could count on to get things done, while still being a positive influence who could make you feel comfortable in any situation. Her ability to talk to people and guide them through details made her successful in her dealings as a Real Estate Agent. At home, Deb enjoyed her children, their friends, and especially the two grandchildren that became the bright spot in her life, she truly loved being a Nana. She had a gift for making everyone feel comfortable and welcomed and became like a second mom to many of her children's friends. We will all miss her generous, helpful nature and her devotion to family.

She is survived by her loving children, Thomas A. DelNegro of Middletown and his fiancée Ashley Amarosa, Kristin N. Cintron, and her husband, Matthew Cintron of Walden, as well as her two cherished grandchildren, Xander and Jaxson. She is also survived by five wonderful sisters, Bette Warfield and her husband Jim of Okatie, SC, Kathy Malates and her husband Ken of Jefferson, Maine, Allison Geary and her husband Edward of Stony Point, NY, Gayle Fricke of Newbern, NC, and Jennifer Fricke King of Emerald Isle, NC as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur “Bucky” Fricke Jr.

Visitation will take place at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 from 1pm to 3pm. Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
