Obituary for Dawn Regina
Dawn Holliday Regina was born December 23, 1955 in New York, New York. She was a God fearing woman, prayer warrior, artistic soul, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend! She had a smile that would light up a room and was often known and recognized for her beautiful blue eyes.
She had many professions over the course of her 62 years but the one she was most proud of was her salon “The Completed Look.” When she was 50 years old she made a bold decision to pursue her lifelong dream and become a stylist. She went to cosmetology school and opened up her own hair salon “The Completed Look.” There she provided an atmosphere of professionalism, integrity, and serenity. She wanted to have a place for women to be ministered to spiritually and physically.
Dawn can be described as having the heart of an artist- full of passion, commitment, and loyalty to her convictions. She attended Family Church for 28 years. She loved God, had strong faith, and described her faith walk as “Eagle Up!” Eagles are bold, honest, rise above the storms of life, consistent and fiercely devoted. When faced with challenges she would say “Eagle Up!”
She is survived by her daughter Jillian Crawford (Joseph), son, Andre Regina, grandsons Joseph Crawford III and Jonah Crawford, her parents, Edward and Evelyn Holliday, sisters Robin Reed (Alan), Brook Alston (Glenn), niece Erica Reed and nephew Chance Alston. And a host of family and friends.
