Obituary for David M. Casmay
David M. Casmay, long time Orange County resident, passed away on January 22, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 1, 1967 in Phoenixville, PA.

David graduated from Minisink Valley High School in 1986. He worked at Amscan in Chester, NY for 26 years. David enjoyed watching his beloved Giants play football with longtime friends Christian and Andrea Roberto, who also lovingly cared for him in their home during his illness. He enjoyed going to concerts and lounging by the Roberto pool every summer where he was affectionately known as the “Harbor Master”. He especially loved spending vacation time with his Casmay family every summer at the beach in Ocean City, NJ.


David was predeceased by his loving mother, Carole (Stepneski) Casmay in 2000. He is survived by his father, David E. Casmay Sr. and his step-mother Barbara of NJ and sister Cynthia Casmay of PA. David is also survived by his loving daughter, Abigail Casmay of NY, his brother James Casmay and wife Nikki, and nephews Dominic and Austin of IL. David is also survived by his companion, Kathy Shaw, of NY.

Family and friends are invited to attend a short Memorial Service on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. Due to the current pandemic, visitors are limited to 25 guests at a time.
