Obituary for Daniel Kent Peterson
Daniel Kent Peterson, 74, of Middletown, New York, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2021.
Daniel was born in Nyack, New York on March 11, 1947, to Harold and Eleanor Del Pizzo.
He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Dewey. He was awarded the National Defense Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
He is survived by the love of his life, Donna (Downey) of Middletown, New York and his faithful fur-baby companions; Brandy, Bella and Benji. He is also survived by his children Stephen Kent and his fiancée Lori, Daniel Keith and his fiancée Megan and their children; Dylan, Bradley and Ashlynn, all of Cape Coral, Florida, his brothers, James and his wife Judy of Montgomery, New York and their children Jessica and James Jr., H. Robert and his wife Tina of Ohio and their children Robert and Albert, Frank Rose and his son Noah of Florida.
He is pre-deceased by his brother Stephen.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 P.M. on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, New York.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow with Military Honors at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery Craigville Road, Goshen, New York 10924.
Memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or the Local A.S.P.C.A.
