Obituary for Claire Guarino
Claire Guarino, a resident of Slate Hill, died at the Milford Healthcare and Rehab. Center on October 15th, 2021. She was 87.
The daughter of Sam and Helen Guarino, she was born on April 9, 1934 in Lodi, NJ. Of the six children in her family, she was the only girl.
Claire will be remembered for her love of animals (especially cats) and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds around her yard. She was a good cook, and she shared the meals she prepared with her family and friends. She was a spiritual woman of good faith and attended church regularly.
Her only grandchild was the light of her life and she looked forward to seeing and spending quality time with her.
One of her favorite pastimes was a trip to the racetrack, casino and betting on the ponies.
While she became bedridden in the last few years and always welcomed the greetings and visits from her family friends.
Claire is survived by her children Richard and Tica Porcoro(Elen Redstone and Tammy; Redstone, Granddaughter Mallori Porcoro, and one special nephew, James Guarino.
There will be no formal funeral services held for Claire and cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. Many thanks go to the staff at Milford Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and exceptional care for Claire.
