It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher M. Westerfield, 29, of Washingtonville, NY on August 9, 2020 at home.

Chris was born in Middletown, NY on August 13,1990 to Evonne and Robert Westerfield. Before moving to Washingtonville, Chris lived in Montgomery, NY and attended Valley Central High School. He worked at various restaurants throughout his life before working as an installer/ service technician for Northern AC and Heating Co.

Chris is survived by his parents, Evonne Westerfield and her partner Robert Lengemann of Washingtonville; and Robert Imperiale-Westerfield, Jr and his wife Teresa of Melbourne FL; his brother, Bobby Westerfield and his wife Hana and their son Calvin of New Hampton; grandmother Elsie Westerfield; as well as his extended family, sister Elisa Vega and her husband Ricky and their children, Lillyana, Logan and Zachary; sister Krista Milio and her husband Frank and their daughter Gianna; and brother Daniel Orton. He also leaves his beloved dog Poppy, many aunts, uncles, and cousins to mourn his loss.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Gabriel and Jacqueline DeVliegher, and Robert Westerfield.

Chris was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend.

Everyone who met him fell in love with him instantly. He was given the nickname “Eyes”, which is how all his friends referred to him. He will be remembered for his fantastic sense of humor and his ability to do great impersonations. Chris was smart, kind, and generous. Extremely talented both musically and mechanically; and very proud of his culinary skills. He enjoyed jamming out on his drums and piano with his friends, and his brother, Bobby. He was a perfectionist and always wanted to do everything the right way. Chris was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Chris adored his nephew, Calvin.

In addition to his other pastimes, Chris liked to snuggle with his dogs Gabby and Poppy, watch “48 hours” and other shows with his Mom, listen to music, Joe Rogan’s Podcast, and the Martin Miller Band. He also liked skateboarding, fishing, bowling and working out. His peaceful moments were relaxing by the Moodna Creek near his home.

Heaven has gained a very gentle, kind, and loving soul. He will be forever remembered, loved, and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Chris was a Brothers Christopher Alumnus at St. Christopher's Inn and the Inn was a place very near and dear to his heart. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chris’ name may be made to St. Christopher’s Inn, 21 Franciscan Way, Garrison, NY 10524.
