The daughter of the late Richard and Alberta Horrevoets Green, she was born on January 7, 1968 in Middletown, NY. Cheryl graduated from Minisink High School in 1986. She started her career with Orange County shortly after graduation and worked as a Principal Clerk for the County for over 30 years. On September 1, 1990, she married Robert Bingley in Goshen. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Middletown.
Cheryl enjoyed her work as it gave her the opportunity to work with different people. She was a peacemaker and used her compassion and understanding of others in all aspects of her life. Family was everything to her, she was an excellent mom and dedicated grandmother. Going to fairs and concerts were some of her favorite things to do. She especially liked calling in to local radio stations to win concert tickets, which she did pretty often! She leaves her family and friends far too soon and
In addition to her loving husband Robert at home, she is survived by her children, Danielle Toucedo and her husband Paul, Mayling Bingley and Evan Bingley. Cheryl is also survived by her brothers, Richard Green and his wife Kim and Steven Green and his wife Dawn; one sister Valerie Poyton and her husband Todd; sisters-in-law, Sherri I’be and Stacie Cook and her husband Edward, and brother –in-law Gary Bingley and his wife Dana; and her beloved grandchildren, Alexander, Nicolas and Michael Toucedo as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was pre-deceased by her husband’s parents, Robert and Patricia Bingley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 31 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, facial coverings and social distancing must be observed at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home, Rev. Cliff Acklam will officiate. Services will be livestreamed on this website beginning at 5:45 pm on Wednesday. Burial will take place in Wallkill Cemetery on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 12 pm.
Memorial contributions in Cheryl’s name may be made to the Go Fund Me page established for her children’s college funds.
