Middletown, NY

Charles W. Loder of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was 67 years old.

Charlie was the son of the late Elizabeth W. Donovan and R. Budd Loder and the step-son of the late Jeremiah Richard Donovan.

Charlie is survived by his spouse of, 30 years, Sharon DiEduardo Loder, brother Arthur B. Loder of Albany, NY, sister-in-law Christine and her husband Phil Martini of Newburgh, brother-in-law Nano and his wife Wendy Di Eduardo of South Carolina; his nephew Kyle DiEduardo and his wife Michele of South Carolina, and niece Aimee Taylor of Newburgh, NY, and great nieces Aponi, Annastaza, Stella and Bailey and his best friend, Nick Illobre and his wife, Buffy.

Charlie graduated from Middletown High School class of1963, was a volunteer Fireman in the Waalkill Engine Company No.6, Steam Fireman at the Middletown Psychiatric Center, retired Fireman in the City of Newburgh Fire Department. Charlie served as a sergeant in the United States Army. Charles was presently the crew chief and sponsor of the Superior Racing Team No. 44,( Brian Krummel , driver) and was past crew chief and sponsor of several other racing teams, as well as a member of BPOE # 1097.

Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday, November 23 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 149 Cottage street, Middletown, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home
