Obituary for Charles J Heim III
Charles (Chuck) J. Heim III passed away on March 27, 2022 at Middletown Park Manor at the age of 91. He was born on November 21, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ to Charles Joseph Heim II and Madeline Heim. After graduating from William L. Dickerson High School in 1948, he was employed by the telephone company in New York City from 1948-1989. He also served in the US Marine Corps during that time.
Chuck married Eleanor Nancy Kwiat and together they had a son, Kenny. He was a loving father and husband. He loved animals and owned many horses, cats and dogs. He was a member of the Goshen Humane Society and the Hudson Valley Draft Horse Association. He also enjoyed participating in Civil War Calvary reenactments and many other equine related activities, including team penning. He was a good friend and teacher to many.
Chuck is survived by his son Kenneth, his nephew Gary (Lucy), his niece Gail (Tony), and sister-in-law Fran Heim. he was predeceased by his parents, his wife, brother Donald and sister Jean.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Applebee-McPhilips Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Service followed by Military honors will take place at 4:30 pm. Cremation will be private.
