Obituary for Charles A. Carlevaro
Charles A. Carlevaro, a retired Treatment Assistant Supervisor for Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center, died on Friday, October 19, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and many close friends. He was 68.

One of the late George J. and Virginia C. Carlevaro's children, he was born on August 6, 1944 in Manhattan. Charlie, our hero, was an army Vietnam veteran, serving his country for over 20 years and served as an officer in the Greenville VFW.  On 9/11 his country called again as he was a first responder at the World Trade Center. He was a beloved father and grandfather. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time boating on Lake Ontario with his late wife Pat, who he sorely missed.

Charlie loved his family. He loved the Carlevaro reunions and could be seen laughing it up with his brothers and sisters over a beer. Charlie was proud of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He could often be seen with his Collie Stormy at TJ's baseball games.

He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Miceli and her husband Anthony of Middletown and Theresa Teague and her husband David of Cary, NC; stepsons, Richard Sanborn and his wife Sharon of Alexandria, VA and Charles Sanborn and his wife Virginia of Livingston Manor; three brothers, John and his wife Marsha of Cyprus, TX, Paul of Miami, FL and Bart and his companion, Linda Louie of Montvale, NJ; and two sisters, Marie Melton and her husband Bill and Ginny Hardcastle and her husband Ron, all of Tallahassee, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren TJ, Rhiannon and Eben.

In addition to his wife, Pat, he was predeceased by one brother, Joseph. Visitation hours are from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2012 and 12 to 1 pm on Monday, October 22 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday at the funeral home, burial with Military Honors will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
