Catherine was born in Farmingdale, NY and was a teacher in the Farmingdale school district for 32 years and loved to travel and play cards along with golfing and tennis. She taught Mahjong and loved to volunteer for social events. Her tv viewing was focused around hockey and tennis.
At home her big joy was hosting family events and holidays. She worked hard and enjoyed life to its fullest. She was a dedicated grandmother, mother, and friend.
Survived by her son Carl Darling and "Margaret", daughter Susan Lauro and "Dennis", daughter Nancy Harris, son George Pantaleo and "Beth", son in law, John Diorio. Seven grandchildren, Carl and David Lauro, Kathryn and Will Darling, Christopher Diorio, Joseph and Emma Pantaleo, Three sisters, Helen, Marion, Marie and brother Victor Bonventre.
Predeceased by her parents Victor and Marie Bonventre, her sister Josephine, her brothers Anthony and Michael, her husband's Carl Darling and George Pantaleo, daughter Linda and grandson Eric Diorio along with her son in law, Tom Harris.
She will be missed by all and always in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 pm on Thursday, April 21st at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Blooimingburg, burial will follow in Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
