Catherine E. Pesola, 72, of Middletown, entered into rest with her loving family be her side on Saturday, December 22, 2012.
Catherine was bornon June 18, 1940 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen LaValle Cucugliata. She was the loving wife of Dominick Pesola. She worked at Kuhl’s Highland House in Middletown, NY; volunteered at Hospice and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Rosemary #681 for over 35 years.
Catherine is survived by the love of her life of 52 years, Dominick, whom she married on December 26, 1959. They married/renewed their vows four additional times in Italy and New York. In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her five children; Dominick Pesola and his wife Linda of Alpharetta, GA, Joseph Pesola and his wife Bridgette, John Pesola and his wife Judy Lynn, Maria Sparling and her husband Dante and Nicholas Pesola and his wife Lisa, all of Middletown; her grandchildren; “the apples of her eyes”, Dillon Sparling, Desarae, Joseph, Nicholas X., Eric, Nicholas A., Jordan and Katerina Pesola, Kelly and Patrick Lynn, all of Middletown, Ny; her two great-grandchildren, Billie and Anthony; sister Lucille Sitra of Florida, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Catherine’s smile, wit and sarcasm made her loveable. Through hardships, she rarely complained, always having a positive outlook, smiling and joking with everyone. Family was everything to Catherine. She loved the smell of the beach, trips to Italy, trips to the casino, listening to Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand and watching her grandsons play football.
