Obituary for Catherine "Cathy" Fiore
Catherine “Cathy” Fiore, a lifetime resident of Orange County, and a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother, died at Garnet Medical Center on Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was 73.
The daughter of the late Armond and Lucille DeGroff Carbone, she was born on October 14, 1947 in Newburgh, NY.
Cathy loved crafts, sewing, and shopping…shopping probably being her most favorite hobby. She was loving and caring and absolutely adored her children and delighted in her grandchildren. Cathy shared her maternal gifts with her friends and her children’s friends, making them all part of her larger family. Nana to all of Heather and Melanie’s friends’ children, and a sister to her special lady friends, Alice Ann, Mary, Nancy, Donna, and Paula. This family brought her endless joy.
She is survived by her loving husband James P. Fiore at home, her cherished daughter Heather Tancredi and her husband Carlo of Forestburgh, NY; two grandchildren; Briiana Cash and Shayla Taylor; and special girl Kelly, nephew Cullen, and niece Lindsay. She is also survived by her two brothers, Alan and Robert Carbone- both of Newburgh, NY, and two stepchildren, Patrick and Lisa.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Melanie Raab-Agbabina in 2020.
