Obituary for Carolyn Jean Primus
Apostle Carolyn Walker-Primus was born on April 23, 1958 in Red Oak, Virginia to the late Patsy Sue Walker and Hermond E. Palmer Sr. She was adopted shortly after by Creola Walker–Carden and Winston Palmer. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Maurice E. Palmer and two sons Corey Hardy and Tyrone Hardy.

At a very young age Carolyn was brought to New York City where she grew into a beautiful young woman and became mother to eight children. In the early stages of her life, Carolyn experienced many trials that led her to seek the Lord. She was brought into the presence of God and she surrendered her life to Christ under the leadership of Bishop T.B. Jackson, St. Peter’s Pentecostal Deliverance Center. Carolyn served under Bishop Jackson for 13 years where she gleaned and grew; first as Missionary, then as Evangelist and finally as Elder. She also participated and graduated from The St. Peter’s School of Deliverance Ministries.

Carolyn then served the Lord for 11 years under Dr. Fredrick D. Stevens, St. Paul Baptist Church. She graduated from the St. Paul School of Ministry and was ordained a Pastor. She obeyed the call of the Lord to Pastor then birthed the Tabernacle of Faith. Carolyn founded and established Carolyn Walker Ministries-Broken Women Become Princesses, after
the tragic deaths of two of her sons.

Alongside her pursuit of ministry Carolyn obtained higher education through the College of New Rochelle, where she secured her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She was also certified in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Special Education, through Adelphi University. Carolyn's love and passions were working with families, ministering, and providing support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. She had
a myriad of interesting jobs to support her family.
Carolyn worked for Young Adult Institute (YAI) and taught in the New York City public school system until retirement.

Most recently, she came out of retirement and worked part-time for Allied Health care. Carolyn had a strong commitment to serve and an exceptionally loving nature, which
she poured into her family and others.

In 2006, Carolyn married her soulmate David Primus. They were best friends for twenty years, prior to marriage. As per Carolyn, God sent her David. Together Carolyn and David presided as leaders in the gospel over Tabernacle of Faith, where many lives have been touched. Their ministry went beyond touching the lives of their local community and extended to a school in Liberia, where students in need receive aid and supplies.

Carolyn Primus leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her husband David Primus; nine sisters: Rebecca Bush, Nathan Downs, Rita Hamilton, Mary Smith, Mamie Spears, Laurisa E. Sampson, Kenyalita Duplessis, Dechryl Curtis and Valarie Foster-Dillard; three brothers: James Bush, Shirley Carden, and Hermond E. Palmer Jr.; eight daughters: Dolores Jones, Tawanna Carden, Shaneice Robinson, Paulette Hawkins, Rhashequa White, Summatia Mariani, Tashira Lyles, and Jennifer Walker; three sons: Travis Walker Daquann Walker and Tyriek Primus; Mother-in law Ruby Primus: brother-in-law Harold
Primus :three sister’s-in-law Veronia Primus, Harriet Primus, Paulette Primus, two son’s-in- law: Tyrone Robinson and Ali Abdul-Wahhab; sixteen grandchildren: Anthony Floyd, Roy Williams, Quishanti Hardy, Celena Hardy, Travon Hardy, Kayla Hardy, Tyrone Hardy Jr., Corey Hardy Jr., Emerald Hardy, Tynisha Hardy, Tyson Robinson,
Laila Abdul-Wahhab, Xavier Lyles, Zachary Lyles, Kaelyn Walker, and Tatiana Walker; five great grandchildren; Peyton, Skylar, Sarai, Alessandra and Sakai; and a host of beloved god-children, spiritual children, nieces.

The Vistation is from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.
