In the early stages of her life, Carolyn experienced many trials that led her to seek the Lord. She was brought into the presence of God and she surrendered her life to Christ under the leadership of Bishop T.B. Jackson, St. Peter’s Pentecostal Deliverance Center. Carolyn served under Bishop Jackson for 13 years where she gleaned and grew; first as Missionary, then as Evangelist and finally as Elder. She also participated and graduated from The St. Peter’s School of Deliverance Ministries.

Carolyn then served the Lord for 11 years under Dr. Fredrick D. Stevens, St. Paul Baptist Church. She graduated from the St. Paul School of Ministry and was ordained a Pastor. Carolyn's love and passions were working with families, ministering, and providing support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. She had
a myriad of interesting jobs to support her family.

Most recently, she came out of retirement and worked part-time for Allied Health care. Carolyn had a strong commitment to serve and an exceptionally loving nature, which
she poured into her family and others.

In 2006, Carolyn married her soulmate David Primus. They were best friends for twenty years, prior to marriage. As per Carolyn, God sent her David. Together Carolyn and David presided as leaders in the gospel over Tabernacle of Faith, where many lives have been touched.
