August 3, 1932 - January 22, 2013

Middletown, NY

Carolyn Colello Ferretti died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at her home. She was 80 years old. 

The daughter of the late Achilla Michael Colello and Adeline (Nellie) Marra Colello, she was born on August 3, 1932 in Middletown, NY. 

Carolyn graduated from MHS, and then married Dominick Ferretti in St. Joseph’s Church and they celebrated 53 years together, and were lifetime members of St. Joseph’s Church. "Intense love does not measure, it just gives." Carolyn gave all of herself to everyone, especially her children. 

She is survived by her five children: Adeline Ferretti of New York City, Carolyn Lisa Ferretti of New Windsor, Vincent and his wife, Nicole of Middletown, Marina and her husband, Thomas Santoro of New Windsor, and Roger and his wife, Jean of Briarcliff Manor; one brother, Michael Colello; and her four beloved grandchildren: Christian, Marco, Gabriella, and Dante. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick, in 2010, and her sister, Angela. 

Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, January 24, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church at 11 a.m. Friday, January 25. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home.

Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, January 24, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church at 11 a.m. Friday, January 25. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
